on the passing of Barbara Valianti

it wasn't supposed to go down like this.  we were supposed to be raising hell in the old age home.  we were supposed to be wise old crones together. instead she slipped away in the early hours yesterday.

I thought there was time, yet for us to laugh and finish our paintings.  i thought there would be time for a proper goodbye.

now there are no words for the hole in my heart.

rest peacefully, my friend...i know our paths will cross again.

  1. Evie, we never met I am Babs cousin Ed. I do know that you and her are friends who go way back, perhaps childhood as i remember your name coming up many times years ago. I was happy when I heard that you and her reconnected and I want to thank you for being there for her. She was one of a kind and i will remember her always, particularly the times we spent going camping in Harriman in the 70s. I learned a lot from my cousin and hope she is once again enjoying good times with my Uncle Vince and Aunt anjie.
